Shakira is a Senior Associate at Richardson | Ober LLP, where her practice focuses on real estate and community association litigation. She has extensive experience handling matters in both state and federal courts and represents a broad range of clients, including businesses of all sizes, community associations, real estate professionals, insurers, and their insureds.

Shakira has a strong background in complex and high-exposure litigation, including cases involving products liability, aviation, employment, and personal injury. She is skilled in case evaluation, strategic planning, and positioning matters for early and efficient resolution. Her clients value her practical approach, attention to detail, and ability to navigate challenging disputes with efficiency and professionalism.

At Richardson | Ober, Shakira provides litigation services for the firm’s Community Association and Real Estate clients and assists with general counsel and risk management matters. Her broad experience allows her to offer well-rounded advice that balances legal precision with business considerations.

Before joining Richardson | Ober LLP, Shakira was a Senior Associate at a defense law firm, where she focused on employment law, general liability, and public entity representation. This experience enhanced her ability to develop comprehensive strategies tailored to each client’s unique needs. 

Shakira earned her Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from California State Polytechnic University, Pomona, and her Juris Doctor from the University of Wisconsin Law School. She is licensed to practice law in California and Wisconsin and is admitted to practice before all federal courts in California. 

Outside the office, Shakira enjoys traveling, wine tasting, photography, and spending quality time with her family and friends.
